The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) is pleased to announce the upcoming Clean Energy Industry Day, which will take place on 2 July 2025 at the NSPA Headquarters in Luxembourg.

This event focuses on energy management solutions for deployable infrastructure and supports NATO’s broader goal of transitioning to clean energy, enhancing energy security, and reducing dependency on external energy sources. NSPA’s role is instrumental in implementing the NATO Climate Change & Security Agenda and Action Plan, contributing to both the strategic readiness of the Alliance and global environmental responsibility.

Event Focus:

The Industry Day aims to connect with companies offering innovative clean energy solutions relevant for deployable military infrastructure. NSPA is particularly interested in:

  • Solar energy systems and battery storage solutions
  • Optimized hybrid diesel generators and alternative energy sources
  • Real-time monitoring systems for energy production and consumption
  • Smart microgrid systems for centralized energy management
  • Energy-efficient heating, cooling, and insulation systems
  • Hydrogen-based energy solutions

Additionally, the event will serve as an opportunity for new companies to register in the NSPA source file and familiarize themselves with the NSPA e-Procurement Portal.

This event provides a unique platform to:

  • Learn about future clean energy procurement opportunities with NSPA
  • Present innovative solutions tailored to NATO's energy needs
  • Network with key stakeholders in NATO’s acquisition and sustainment community
  • Discuss how industry can contribute to enhancing NATO's energy resilience and sustainability goals

Participation Criteria:

Participation will be assessed based on the following:

  1. Eligibility: Companies must have legal residence and management in a NATO nation
  2. Qualification: Relevant portfolio and experience in energy management solutions
  3. Innovation: Use of advanced or disruptive technologies
  4. Past business relationship: Priority for new companies or those with limited past business with NSPA
  5. Space availability

ENDR Hub online workshop

The European Network of Defence-related Regions (ENDR) is organising the first online workshops dedicated to the ENDR Hub, the digital marketplace hosted on the Digital Space Ecosystem (DSE) platform. The workshops aim to introduce ENDR members to the platform’s key functionalities and collaboration opportunities. Participants may choose between two identical sessions: 28 May 2026, 14:00–15:30 (CEST) 8 June 2026, 14:00–15:30 (CEST) The programme will include an overview of the ENDR Hub, practical demonstrations on how to publish announcements, search for and contact organisations, and make use of the platform’s networking and matchmaking features. The sessions will conclude with a Q&A discussion. The ENDR Hub serves as a digital marketplace for ENDR members, enabling users to share announcements, connect with peers, access ENDR-related documents and information, suggest events of interest, and strengthen collaboration across European defence-related regions. ENDR Conference Gijón 2026

ENDR Conference Gijón 2026 – Advanced Manufacturing and Systems Integration for a Strong Defence Industry Organised within the framework of the European Network of Defence-related Regions, the conference “Advanced Manufacturing and Systems Integration for a Strong Defence Industry” will be hosted by the Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS) together with Asturias Hub Defensa. The event will take place on 3–4 June 2026 at the Laboral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial and will focus on the role of advanced manufacturing technologies and systems integration in strengthening Europe’s defence industrial capabilities and resilience. The programme will address topics including Industry 5.0, additive manufacturing, automation and robotics, digital modelling, artificial intelligence, supply chain resilience, and cooperation between industry, research organisations and public authorities. It will also highlight skills development initiatives and showcase innovative technology demonstrators relevant to defence applications. International Defence TechDay 2026

Organised by the Bayern Innovativ – TechHUB Security and Defence, the International Defence TechDay 2026 will take place on 17 September 2026 at the Fliegerhorst Erding Airbase. The event will bring together representatives from NATO, Ministries of Defence, international partners, armed forces, industry, and research organisations to experience advanced defence technologies in a live operational environment. The programme will combine fully integrated live demonstrations and static displays, showcasing technologies operating within coordinated multi-domain scenarios. The 2026 scenario, Shield & Swarm 2026, will focus on the protection of high-value targets against coordinated threats involving drone swarms, unmanned systems, and ground forces. Participating companies will demonstrate operational capabilities including real-time system deployment, live sensor integration, interoperability, and active engagement within a networked force structure.
