On 15 January 2026, the EDF Europadag 2026 will take place on-site in the Netherlands. This national info day is aimed at companies, universities, and research organisations interested in the European Defence Fund (EDF) and exploring opportunities for European collaboration in defence research and innovation. The event will focus on sharing information about the EDF 2026 Work Programme, the priorities of the Dutch Ministry of Defence, and facilitating matchmaking between participating stakeholders. Updates on: The implementation of SAFE – the European Defence Industry Reinforcement through Common Procurement Act. The upcoming European Defence Industry Programme (EDIP). The Defence Industry Transformation Roadmap. Commission proposals for defence industrial programmes in the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). Nordic government presentations on national approaches to EDF 2026, to facilitate clarity and cooperation. Guidance and Q&A opportunities regarding administrative and legal aspects of the EDF. Success stories from Nordic companies previously involved in EDF projects. A networking social event in the evening for all Info Day participants. 29 January – EDF Matchmaking Event The matchmaking day provides a platform for structured dialogue, enabling participating organisations to: Identify relevant partners for EDF 2026 proposals. Explore complementary expertise. Form international consortia for collaborative project development. The matchmaking is open to entities from all EU Member States and Norway. Participants may choose to attend one or both days. Registration Registration is open and will close on 20 January 2026. The session will provide practical insights into the application process, funding possibilities, and strategic priorities relevant to defence research and innovation. The infoday will be held in a hybrid format—on-site in Brussels, with online participation also available. The Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic (AOBP), as a member of the EOA consortium, is organising the EDF Onsite Matchmaking 2026, under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic. The event will take place on 17 February 2026, from 13:00 to 17:00 CET, at the DAP Hotel in Prague. This afternoon matchmaking forum is designed to bring together participants from across Europe who are planning to apply for the upcoming European Defence Fund (EDF) 2026 calls. It will provide a valuable platform for forging new partnerships and forming strong international consortia.
