The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS) is pleased to announce that the European Defence Fund (EDF) Info Days 2026 will take place on 10–11 March 2026, in a hybrid format, both in Brussels and online.

This flagship annual event offers valuable insights into the EDF 2026 calls for proposals, provides the latest programme updates, and supports collaboration through international networking and pitching opportunities.

Programme Highlights

  • Day 1 – EDF 2026 Call Presentation
    • DG DEFIS experts will present the new calls, outline recent programme developments, and provide practical guidance for preparing and submitting proposals.
  • Day 2 – International Networking & Pitching
    • Participants will engage in matchmaking sessions, thematic pitching, and the formation of R&D consortia for EDF-funded projects.
  • Investor Sessions
    • Dedicated time for investors and companies to explore funding opportunities, connect, and showcase innovative solutions in defence.

This event is intended for potential applicants from public and private entities established in EU Member States and Norway.

International Defence TechDay 2026

Organised by the Bayern Innovativ – TechHUB Security and Defence, the International Defence TechDay 2026 will take place on 17 September 2026 at the Fliegerhorst Erding Airbase. The event will bring together representatives from NATO, Ministries of Defence, international partners, armed forces, industry, and research organisations to experience advanced defence technologies in a live operational environment. The programme will combine fully integrated live demonstrations and static displays, showcasing technologies operating within coordinated multi-domain scenarios. The 2026 scenario, Shield & Swarm 2026, will focus on the protection of high-value targets against coordinated threats involving drone swarms, unmanned systems, and ground forces. Participating companies will demonstrate operational capabilities including real-time system deployment, live sensor integration, interoperability, and active engagement within a networked force structure. Key technology areas include: Unmanned systems (UAV / UGV) ISR and advanced sensor technologies Counter-UAS and electronic warfare Air defence and missile systems Key Information Date: 17 September 2026 Time: 10:00 – 16:00 Location: Fliegerhorst (Airbase) Erding, Bavaria, Germany Participation and Contact A spectator registration option will be announced in due course.
