The European Defence Agency (EDA) and the Spanish Air Force will host the 1st Preparation Meeting for AM Village 2026 from 21–23 October 2025 in Albacete, Spain. The meeting will take place at Posada Real, Calle Alcalde Conangla, 18, 02001 Albacete.

The AM Village initiative focuses on Additive Manufacturing (AM) – commonly known as 3D printing – as a key enabler for military logistics. The 3rd AM Village Workshop 2026 itself will be held in March 2026 at the Albacete Air Base. Its main objectives are to identify military use cases where AM technology can provide effective solutions and to strengthen cooperation between industry, academia, and the armed forces.

Participation in AM Village 2026 requires attendance at this Preparation Meeting. Industry and academic participants are invited to provide a short brief (maximum 5 pages) outlining their planned contributions to the 2026 workshop. Briefs should be submitted by 10 October 2025 to Martin.HUBER@eda.europa.eu.

International Defence TechDay 2026

Organised by the Bayern Innovativ – TechHUB Security and Defence, the International Defence TechDay 2026 will take place on 17 September 2026 at the Fliegerhorst Erding Airbase. The event will bring together representatives from NATO, Ministries of Defence, international partners, armed forces, industry, and research organisations to experience advanced defence technologies in a live operational environment. The programme will combine fully integrated live demonstrations and static displays, showcasing technologies operating within coordinated multi-domain scenarios. The 2026 scenario, Shield & Swarm 2026, will focus on the protection of high-value targets against coordinated threats involving drone swarms, unmanned systems, and ground forces. Participating companies will demonstrate operational capabilities including real-time system deployment, live sensor integration, interoperability, and active engagement within a networked force structure. EDA REACH Plenary Meeting – Industry Session

On October 13, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the industry session of the 17th EDA REACH Plenary Meeting will take place at the headquarters of the European Defence Agency (EDA) in Brussels. The meeting will focus on the impacts of the REACH regulation and other EU regulations on chemicals in the defense industry, the resilience of supply chains for critical substances, and future regulatory priorities in the defense and space sectors. The program will include discussions with representatives from member states, European institutions, agencies, and industry. European Young Professionals Defence Summit

On October 27–28, 2026, the European Young Professionals Defense Summit will take place in Malmö, Sweden. The conference is organized by the European Commission (DG DEFIS) as part of the European Network of Defense-related Regions (ENDR), in collaboration with the Swedish Defense and Security Industry Association (SOFF). The event is primarily intended for young professionals and those at the beginning of their careers in the European defense sector. Its goal is to connect the next generation of experts across Europe, facilitate the exchange of experiences, and offer deeper insight into the strategic, industrial, and technological changes currently shaping European defense. ENDR: From Lab to Field

On November 25–26, 2026, the conference “From Lab to Field: Deep Tech Dual-Use Innovation for Defense” will take place in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The event is organized by the European Commission (DG DEFIS) and the province of North Brabant as part of the European Network of Defense-related Regions (ENDR), in collaboration with other Dutch partners. The conference will focus on the transfer of deep tech and high-tech innovations into specific defense and security applications and on strengthening cooperation among European innovation ecosystems. The first day will feature expert presentations, interactive workshops, an exhibition, matchmaking, and networking, while the second day will include visits to selected research facilities and companies within the Eindhoven region’s innovation ecosystem.  Details regarding the program, speakers, and registration will be announced at a later date.
